November 2015 Snack Menu

Happy November! In the month of thankfulness- I wish to express my gratitude to all of the parents and staff who help to make GOK such a positive, loving, and enjoyable place to spend this chapter of our lives. Most importantly, thank you for sharing your precious children with us- We all love each and every one of them!

I am also thankful for being forgiven as the October Newsletter got “pushed by the wayside” as we were too busy with all our unpacking of the new goods etc. However, it will be on the website (as it was completed –just too late). So our $10.000 worth of new items have already begun to be quite enjoyed and the children even loved playing with all the boxes as well. lol

Our most recent field trip to Edaville Railroad was fabulous but we will resume our annual trip to Bog Hollow next year. We were lucky to have escaped the rain, the children all enjoyed it and the parents, and staff were all fantastic! An extra thanks again to all the chaperones that joined us – each of you were truly helpful and appreciated!

We will be planning our next trip to Brookdale (Formerly Emeritus) to visit with our elder friends to sing songs etc. on Wednesday, Dec. 9th 10:00 -11:30.

Halloween was also fun as the students who attended were very busy with fun activities all morning. We never made it up to the Salih House due to the weather etc. but great fun was had by all! Please be sure to see pictures of October events on bulletin boards.

During the month of November, Miss Robyn will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items, and toiletries, ie: toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissues, shampoo, toilet paper, baby items etc. At the end of the month we will bring it all to a local food pantry. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that you are helping someone in need. We thank you in advance for your participation. PS Please take notice of expiration dates.

As for us, we could use many more bags of leaves to help raise the pitch at the GOK “tree house”. Also, if anyone could find approx. 12 more “tree cookies” (approx. 2” thick) we could use them for our maze.

There will be one more page of this newsletter to follow as there will be

You may be interested to know that our “YOGA KIDS “ piece of the curriculum Is now available to view on line and on TV ! Check it out when you can.

Most importantly, a tremendous wish for a very Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to all of you !!!                                                                                                      Love,    Louise
